SAY GOODBYE TO CREATURE COMFORTS …

Thanks to eventsdc for inviting some of the Clipper Race crew down to Nationals Park for the MLB game on Wednesday! On our last day in Washington DC, and before the rainstorms rolled in, I thought it appropriate to go and visit some of the National Monuments at the National Mall. Team Warrant stopped traffic at 0400 this morning to open Woodrow Wilson Bridge for the second morning in a row (we had a little windhole delay in our race …) After an early wake up at 0230 … we’ve got our pilot on board and are rafted up with two other boats, including Team GOSH, and are ready to make our way into the Panama Canal! Finally in Panama almost a month after leaving Seattle! Seattle has been our host for the past few days as we recuperated from the Leg 6 Pacific crossing, but now it’s time to get going on Leg 7 towards Panama first, and then on up to Washington DC!
